One of the great blessings of God’s Word is the daily refreshment it provides for us as we read, digest, and apply. In conjunction with our sermon series on Mercy, there are daily readings that will expand your thinking on the topic and challenge you in applying it. You might also like to pray this prayer before you do each reading:
Merciful father, let the good news of your mercy in Christ be clear to me in your word today. Help me to be merciful as you are merciful, and protect me from being an unmerciful servant. Let your mercy be clear not just in your word, but in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
